Yesterday, on Madonna's karting track, the start was set for the 2018 karting season. Athletes started fighting in several season competitions - the Latvian Karting Open Championship, the Pro-Kart Cup, the Rotax Challenge Cup, and the LMT Autosport Academy.

The day was very long and unobtrusive. It's not even without incident, the time delay, as previously foreseen, and of course, the emotions that are impossible in sport. The first season’s stage made a record for new entrants - 212 athletes entered the starting line. The opening ceremony was welcomed by the Chairman of the Karting Commission and the Director of the Competition - Valdis Brutāns, as well as the Chairman of the Madona Municipality - Agris Lungēvičs. We want to celebrate and express the great commentator of yesterday's competition - Atis Veismanis, who, with heart and really exciting comments, entertained us all day with!
