The state of emergency in the country continues until. June 9, but we are already hoping that official competitions will be allowed, but a number of significant changes and restrictions will have to be taken into account. The karting season will open on June 27, when we will meet at "Sporta Komplekss 333". We invite everyone to prepare and perform trainings in accordance with the law, as well as to get acquainted with the competition regulations, agenda and changes in a timetable.
One of the most significant changes that could affect the form of the competition is that there will be one companion for one athlete in the competition, possibly even one companion for the two athletes. The presence of spectators in the competition, unfortunately, is currently not allowed. It is also possible that only athletes from the Baltic States will be able to start in the competition, because at the moment the borders are still closed, further information on this will follow after 9.06.
It should also be taken into account that this year the competition participation fee has significantly increased, which is 100 EUR! This change is mainly due to the fact that a significant decrease in the number of participants is expected, which could be in the range of 50%. Other budget optimization measures are being taken, but not all service providers reduce the price of their service, which means that the membership fee is increased.
During the first stage, the competition secretariat will operate in the social distance mode, which means that, first of all, all payments will be organized in non-cash format - the organizer will issue an invoice, which the participant will pay before the competition. Secondly, no one will be admitted to the secretariat for no particular reason. Exceptionally, it will be possible to register with the secretariat.
Additional and final regulations on restrictions during the competition will follow the June 9 meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia. In the meantime, we encourage everyone to continue to follow safety rules to protect themselves and others. Also, before going to the competition, we will invite everyone to assess their health condition and if there is a suspicion of a possible illness - by notifying the organizer in advance, do not go to the competition! Let's be responsible and enjoy the karting season together, but following all the rules of distance!
