With the reduction of several restrictions on June 9, the state of emergency in Latvia, which had been in force since mid-March, was lifted, giving the green light that this season will not have to be delayed in the memories of the taste of competition, but all athletes from Latvia and the Baltic States on the track. We will spend the first and opening stage of the season on June 26. - 27.06. "Sports Complex 333", when the Pro-Kart, Latvian Championship and Rotax Challenge Cup tests will take place. This is very positive news, which we hoped to expect, but before we go on the track and start the season, we must take into account the following information.
Thanks to the fact that additional financial support has been attracted, as well as optimization and easing of restrictions, positive changes have been introduced - the previous participation fee of 50 EUR is being renewed. We also invite everyone to apply for the competition in time so as not to delay the invoicing process, as they will need to be paid for before the competition. This would also help to reduce gatherings at the race secretariat, as arrivals at the secretariat are mainly organized to remove the bracelets, mark the arrival of the race and remove the transponder if necessary. Special request for team members applying for more than one athlete at the same time - when applying, please indicate all drivers for which payment is made, as well as all positions for which payment is made, such as transponders, etc.
Before the competition, we also invite you to get acquainted with the agenda, where, taking into account the current restrictions on gathering, adjustments have also been introduced. The most important of them - the award ceremony will take place in parallel with the final races in all classes. As always, we also invite you to follow the changes in the agenda during the competition. At the beginning of August, another very special event awaits the karting family - 60 for Latvian Karting! Celebrations, veteran races and 2 stages of the season will take place from 7.08. - 9.08. Madona Karting track. This weekend will definitely be spent in a whirlwind of positive emotions, because we have planned not only the 3rd and 4th stage of the season (Latvian Championship and Rotax Challenge Cup), which will be held these days, but also entertaining events, retro karting parade rides, delicious snacks, veterans' competitions and, of course, being together, sharing memories in honor of an important anniversary. This decision was taken in view of the fact that the first 2 stages of the season were canceled due to an emergency situation. The karting commission decided that in addition to the 60th anniversary celebrations, the 4th stage of the Latvian Championship and Rotax Challenge Cup will take place. In total, 4 Pro-kart stages will be played this season, 3 of which will include Retro class participation, 5 stages in the Latvian Championship and 6 stages in the Rotax Challenge Cup, the 5th stage will take place together with the Rotax Nordic Cup on 15.08. We invite you to book this weekend for celebrations, as well as invite anyone who would also like to show their retro karting at the exhibition or take it along the karting track. Considering that this weekend will be eventful, so that there will be enough time for everything, class trips and merging will probably be optimized based on the number of registered participants - information about this will follow!
