23-26. August 2012 beautiful city of Liepaja will host the largest speed festival in Latvia „Rally Kurzeme 2012”. This event is the oldest rally race enriched by the special spirit and remarkable traditions, it embraces variety of motorsport disciplines including „PRO-KART” race.
Apart from Latvian championship in karting, Pro-kart is an amateur race series representing full spectrum of technical developments in karting . Worth mentioning that it is opened for all drivers regardless their age an level of skill. On the track you will see retro karts that experienced their first starts back in soviet era as well the as modern days machines will be there „screaming” to their best.
Karting  technical developments of the last 30 years  will be represented starting from the karts of the last century and  straight up to the “ state of art” racing machines. As we were told by Valdis Brutans, founder of this race series, „Competition will be tight and breathtaking, since these small racing machines develop speeds over 100 Km per hour”
Even more, Speed festival Pro-Kart race will be taken to the environment it has never experienced before- city streets of Liepaja!!! Yes that’s right, on Saturday the 25th August territory of former dairy plant will be transformed to a serious 800m long race track.
„Pro-Kart” racing is designed as multirace series where drivers compete till the end of racing season and deserved points will decide who is the shamp of a race total. Speed Festivals “Rally Kurzeme 2012”  race will be the fifth race of Pro-kart series.
 We would like to emphasize that Speed Festival “Rally Kurzeme 2012” will offer record number of motor sport events, besides rally and karting spectators will have opportunity to witness rally sprint, supersprint, dragracing, supermoto and other shows and events.
Admittion cards/tickets for Speed Festival “Rally Kurzeme 2012” can be purchased online „BezRindas.lv” or at the „Biļešu serviss” ticket sales points. First 1000 tickets will be offered at the special price – 5 Lats. Rigt prior festival event ticket prices will rise. Children under 14 can see all events free of charge.
