Records was beaten in Madona

With every stage PRO KARTS participant count is just increasing, at this stage at Madonas karting track there were 157 pilots on the start. Mārtinš Lapiņš set a new track record 43,545 seconds and very impressive average speed – 87.633 km/h.
Racing day was hot not only because of the thermometer column was close to 30 degrees Celsius, but also hard and eye catching wrestling between pilots on the track. This was the 4th PRO KARTS stage in this season’s calendar and there is just one more to come. The race for seasons individual points and the big medal is at the pike.
At the Retro class all three season leaders also in this stage were dividing the first three places. This time with certainty Andris Belijs was taking the first place leaving behind winner of the previous season Arni Šeidleru and Māri Aizsilu. Gentlemen’s in this class keep’s the intrigue till the last minute.
At N125 class Jevgeņijs Rudāns is keeping dominance over the competitors and setting speed in the track, second place in this class Aloyzas Čekavičius, third place Murad Mirzoev. The first place is granted by Jevgeņijs Rudāns, but next two places is still under question in overall results, so will see this competition ending in Kandava between Deniss Kiseļņikovs, Oļegs Vlasovs and Murad Mirzoev.
In class Micro, as usually in this season, it is a hard fight for the big medal between two team mates Mihail Bichkov and Matvey Timofeev. In Madona both of them gained egual points, but as in the second run Mihail was faster so he gets the first place in this stage. Third place was gained by Maksims Kubarevs. Also in overall standing all three mentioned pilots are on the first three places as mentioned.
Mini class winner Mikus Jasevičs was leaving two Russian pilots Aleksey Osipenko un Vladislav Kurichki behind. Season’s leader Aleksandr Hadimuļin was not taking part in Madonas stage, but he is still the overall season leader.
In MiniMax Matvejs Makušins is feeling more confident, he got the first place in Madona and took over the season standing. Second in Madona Andrejs Gubarevs, third place for Dmitrij Starceusov. Not good day for one of the season leaders Konstantin Kosarev who was forced to give up due to technical reasons.
In the new KF6 class Kaspars Vaskelis was taking the first place. Second and third place for team mates Martynas Gurtajus and Ignas Kaselis.
Folk class looks like two men battlefield, Artis Gaujers and Aleksandrs Innuss wheel to wheel battling for points. Both gained equal points, but as Artis was faster in the second run he gets the first place. Third place Zigmārs Zolmanis.
Folk class juniors the winner was debutant Emīls Akmens. He managed to be faster than season leader Ralfs Kalniņš who was second in this race. Third Filips Emersons.
In Open100 German Northern region champion Lennart Schreiber was on the start. He was very fast , but it’s not so easy, Vahur Vene, the season leader was faster in qualification session once again demonstrating his driving skills. In the racing sessions German pilot was faster and result as follows the first place in Madona. Vahur Vene made some mistake in racing heat so it was an option for Romet Kors to gain second place in the competition. Vahur Vene this time in third place, but he has no worries about overall standing.
In Juniors there was a interesting wrestling between Mārtiņš Sesks and Konstantin Ivanov. Both gained equal points, but as Konstantins was faster in second race he gets the first place. Third place Titas Jurkonis. Mārtiņs Sesks took over the season standing, but not far behind are Agniete Gumauskaite, Veronika Golovačova, Kārlis Strēlnieks and Dāvids Teilāns.
In Open 125 this time setting aside season leaders Evaldas Dzialtuvas was winner of the day. Second Rihards Smilgins and third Tanel Tammeveski. And this is the class where the Big medal is still available for Artems, Tanels and Rihards, will watch this closely at Kandavas race.
DD2 a great come back for Henrijs Grūbe, wins both races. Second place for folk dance specialist Haralds Garkaklis. Third place Jevgenijs Stragovs.
KZ2 the most drivers on the start (21). Unsuccessful collision in the second race didn’t allow for track record keeper Martins Lapins win the race. First place in this stage Paulius Paskevicius. This is not an easy win in this class, because the driving level is very high. Second place Raivo Luhse who managed a great race after not so successful qualification session. Vitālijs Šakalovs gained third place and took over the seasons overall standing in this stage.
Energy TK class first three places as follows - Kaspars Kjaune, Gints Zvirbulis, Artjoms Koževņikovs. In overall with no doubt leader is still Arturs Kaļimuns.
The best team in this stage MRG Racing which managed to leave behind RB Sport and JTSVC tekams. Overall still in good points holds R-60 from Pskov.

Next stage at Kandavas kartodroms, Kandava 31 of August and it will be the seasons last stage and there are pilots with something to gain and something to lose.
