2020 season's final stage was held in Jelgava
12.09.2020 23:00
With the fifth stage, we have officially concluded the 2020 karting season today. This season was definitely very different than usual. It was not clear in the spring itself whether this year we will meet on the karting track at all and be able to impregnate Latvian tracks with smoke and adrenaline, or the Latvian Championship will take place, or the Pro-Kart test will gather all karting enthusiasts, or we will fight for Rotax Grand Final tickets, or celebrate the 60th anniversary of Latvian Karting. Looking back, we can say that we have done a great job - all together, for this season to take place, so that we can share the feeling of joy and success together and celebrate the important anniversary with honor.
The 4th stage of Pro-Kart, the 5th stage of the Latvian Championship and the 6th stage of the Rotax Challenge Cup took place today on the Jelgava track “Rullītis”! This competition was special, because as always in Jelgava it takes place within the festival "Mehatrons"! This is a festival of technology and innovation, which is held on September 5, 12 and 13, in cooperation with long-term and reliable partners - the city of Jelgava, associations "Youth Technical Sports Center", also for us - "Prokart", Jelgava city municipalities. institutions “Sports Service Center”, “Culture”, Jelgava City Municipality adult education institution “Zemgale Region Competence Development Center” and Latvia University of Agriculture. The competition was opened not only by Karting's father Valdis Brutāns, but also by Jelgava County Council Chairman Andris Rāviņš, event organizer Jānis Kuķis and our talented karting driver Ēriks Gasparovičs.

2020 has been a year of change, not only in everyday life, but also in the world of sport. At the moment, no one wants to predict what its continuation will bring us, so even now it is difficult to predict the next meeting of the karting family - whether to celebrate the best of the season before Christmas Eve, the annual award ceremony or event could be created on a different platform. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who went on the track this season, everyone who kept their thumbs up, every mechanic, the team and all of us together. For a great season!
