The end of the very successful Pro-Kart season comes with an exciting Retrokart race on the 20th of September, in Madona.
The day’s agenda includes racing for both veterans and mechanics, who will compete with sport and rental go karts.
The concept of the race will very much be like the one used in other Pro-Kart stages, but to save time for the evening programme, the practices will be combined with the qualification rounds. During the evening programme, veterans and mechanics will compete.
Suitable for the veteran race is any driver aged 45 and older, taking in account the rule that the driver must have not participated in any other Pro-Kart races this year. There will be no fee for veterans.
However, the fee to participate in the mechanics’ race will be EUR15 and welcomed are drivers aged 18 and older, who, similarly to the veterans, haven’t participated in any of Pro-Kart races this year.
The best drivers of Retrokart race will be found out in the following classes: Raket, MicroMax, MiniMax, TK, TK Junior, Retro, N125, Junior, Open100, Open125, DD2, DD2 Master, KZ2, KZ2 Master, Veteran Sport, Veteran Rental, Mechanics Sport, Mechanics Rental and the team totals.
Also the technical outlines have been kept almost unchanged apart from the rule, which allows DD2 and DD2 Master class drivers to race with the dry-weather tires depending on the drivers’ perceptions.
Big changes are to come in regards to the season’s awards ceremony. This year, in cooperation with LAF Go Kart Commision, it will take place in a rather dignified atmosphere on the 6th of December, at the club Godvil in Riga.
The Pro-Kart season’s best drivers in standings will be awarded during the ceremony. Along them the awards will also go to the Latvian Championship and Rotax Baltic Challenge Cup winners. More information regarding the ceremony is yet to come and will be published on the Pro-Kart website.
The admission for the Retrokart race is open till the midnight of Wednesday, 17th of September. The drivers are welcomed to make themselves familiar with the regulations on the Pro-Kart website under ‘Races’ and ‘Regulations’.
