333 Sports Complex will host the world’s biggest rental kart championship stages

This year, starting from June 5th, 333 Sports Complex will be the venue for the world’s biggest kart championship - Sodi World Series (SWS) - race stages, thus marking the first year Latvia is added to the race map of the world’s biggest rental kart racing events. The procedure of the championship has also encouraged the development of 333 Sports Complex - currently, a new kart racetrack is being built, and the participants of the SWS races will be the first ones to test it.
It is planned that in Latvia, at 333 Sports Complex, 13 SWS Championship stages in three qualifying classes will take place during this season - SPRINT, TEAM ENDURANCE and JUNIOR. Also, throughout the whole season, drivers from Latvia will be competing for a - travelling expenses covered - pass and opportunity to represent Latvia in the SWS World Championship Finals.
According to the SWS Championship Regulation, both amateurs, and professional kart licence holders are allowed to take part in it. Furthermore, special attention is devoted to the development of the younger generation - teenagers in the age group of 10 to 14 years will be given an opportunity to compete in a separate class. Every SWS Championship participant has the opportunity to take part in stages elsewhere around the world accumulating points for SWS world total qualifying standings.
It is planned that on average SWS Championship races stages will be held once a week; one race day will hold qualification races in one class.
The format of the races is unprecedented in Latvia. The number of race drivers is going to be limited - a maximum of 40 participants both in SPRING, and JUNIOR qualifying races, whereas the maximum number of teams in ENDURANCE stages is going to be 16.
